Member Since: Dec 22, 2007 Gender: Female Goal Type: Boston Qualifier Running Accomplishments: I have been running for 11 years, completing 15 marathons including Boston in 2005 and 2010. St. George 2009 - PR-3:36 beating my previous PR in St. George 2008 by 7 min. PR 5-k is 21:53 at the Summer Games and at this point, my favorite racing distance is the 1/2 marathon. Provo 1/2 2009 PR-1:40, beating my previous PR in Hobblecreek by 2 min. in 2008. Short-Term Running Goals: My goals are to continue training with the RunAmoks group this 4th year led by Coach Bill Shmid with the speed, hill work, and distance endurance as well as strength weight and core training to improve/maintain my PR marathon time of 3:35. Long-Term Running Goals: To be injury free, strong and healthy to ensure a lifelong running plan! Personal: I have been married 27 years and have a son and daughter, daughter-in-law, a dog and a cat.
I suffered a blood clot in my leg in 2001 which resulted in a pulminary embolism! It was awful!!! Several doctors said the best thing to do to prevent that from happening again is to KEEP RUNNING!!! Favorite Blogs: |
